Change to anticoagulation (warfarin) provider in Havering

08 December 2020

Dear GP colleagues,

Bencrest Pharmacy based at 67-69 Park Lane, Hornchurch RM11 1BH  is withdrawing its provision of its anticoagulation service in Havering. This means there will be a change to your patients’ anticoagulation (warfarin) service, effective as of 26 November 2020.

Bencrest Pharmacy has provided patients with details of the new alternative providers who are Day Lewis Pharmacy (through its pharmacies at Cranham, Mungo Park and Rainham Road) and also Britannia Pharmacy (Upminster).  All patients have been transferred to these pharmacies.

The CCGs have provided Bencrest Pharmacy with a letter for patients that explains the change (download area) . The pharmacists will give this to patients who are transferring.

If you or your patients have any queries about the new service, please contact Michelle Johnstone (michelle.johnstone4@nhs.net) or Sab Jenner (sabjenner@nhs.net) in our Planned Care team who will be able to help.

Thank you for your support.
