The Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR) Programme is delivered by the University of Bristol. It is commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) on behalf of NHS England.
Its overall aims are to:
The joint steering group which is represented by the following: NHS City & Hackney CCG, NHS Newham CCG, NHS Tower Hamlets CCG, NHS Waltham Forest, NHS Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge CCGs.
The Steering Group aims to take a strategic level oversight of the reviews of deaths of people with learning disabilities, driving transformation to improve care.
To notify the LeDeR team of a death of a person who had a Learning Disability, please use this link to the notify a death page on the LeDeR learning section of the University of Bristol page.
We encourage staff from all professional groups: Clinical, Allied Health Professionals and Social Care Teams working with people with Learning disabilities to register and participate as LeDeR reviewers and take the learning forward to improve health and social care for people with Learning disabilities.
LeDeR training is now available online go to the LeDeR learning page and then select ‘Create new account’ button and follow instructions.
